Tecno more than ever are on top of their game. Since the inception of the Camon – I once wrote that tecno transitioned from a normal phone to top tier.

Thanks to the Tecno Camon X, it is certain users are going to be enthralled.

Like many flagship smartphones, the Tecno Camon X has a variant The Camon X Pro to compliment it further. A tradition we’ve seen in popular smartphone brands.Taking a sneak at the specs, you’ll appreciate the reduced bezels at 18:9 ratio meaning more viewing angles. For added security options, theres’s a face ID lock and fingerprint reader. In fact, this is the first time we’ve seen these two security options paired on a Tecno phone. Happy?

Display & Features

Is the design Camon CX Inspired? Obviously.

But many alterations have been made to make the smartphone unique. First off, the screen utilizes the 18:9 screen meaning reduced bezels. A trend we’ve seen in the latest Tecno Smartphones.

Built with polycarbonate, a premium texture is added to its texture in hands and the design is without a doubt alluring.

Metal trimmings run around the edges, while the Camera and the LED which are laid horizontally protrudes a bit. Some inches down, the fingerprint reader is indicated by the hollow at the rear.

Talking about display, we are a bit disappointed that it runs a measly 1440 X 720 HD+ resolution on one of the biggest Tecno phones in 2018. However, if overtly crisp and if HD display is what you need, then you might find the Tecno Camon X Pro more feasible.

Additionally, it has a 2.5D Screen which gives the screen a contoured edge adding to the aesthetics. The advantage of a 2.5D screen is purely ergonomic.

People of style will the impressed in the colors that comes in Champagne Gold, City & black, and my favorite Midnight Black.

In all, the phone boasts of a 275 ppi, and many intriguing features you’d have to explore for yourself.

Camera

Tecno adverts have picked the camera as the Camon X forte. There’s no denying, the 20MP front camera and 16MP rear camera shows the smartphone inclination is towards photography.

While the 20MP front camera has a Dual-LED flash, the 16MP lens have a Quad LED flashlight. Thanks to the LED flashlights, taking pictures in the dark have never been easier.

Dual Camera is somewhat a prerequisite for centered camera phones. What’s the use you’d ask?

Blurred background giving more focus to the object in focus. Well, Tecno doesn’t come with a dual camera but it doesn’t stop it from adding the blurr effect to the background. Although I haven’t tested it for myself, I doubt the effect would be flawless.

Software X Performance

Backed by a MediaTek Helio P23 chipset clocked at 20GHz, the Tecno Camon CX is tipped for speed. As if that’s not enough, the phone adds a 3GB RAM that’s expandable to 128GB.

Yes, you are up to date with the Android OS as it comes with the Android 8.1 Oreo.

The phone supports Dual Sim cards and 4G LTE for quick internet surfing.

Tip: This is the first Tecno phone to feature a Face ID, in case you get asked in a quiz, remember Techslize said it first (winks).

This is the first Tecno device to feature ample security options; Password, Face ID and Fingerprint reader.

The Face ID is great, although not as good as some we’ve seen in high-end device.
